We always wonder why the 5 of us are friends because the only thing we have in common are the love of food and whine (pun unintended). It’s amazing how we all can be special individuals and yet be séance at the same time. So I came up with a theory, that we aren’t friends of circumstance. Friends whom you hang out with because you are doing the same thing like living in the same area or working together or going to school together and once that's over you don't really stay in touch anymore. We are friends who enjoy each other’s company and make time for each other rather than agreeing that we all have busy schedules and just leave it at that. Sure its circumstance of a certain event/person that gave us that initial common like/dislike but we grew beyond that which makes it so fantastic. We are friends because we enjoy being friends and don't ever stop making the time for each other alright? Cheers to the 5 years as Séance and counting!

Revival.

The site has been down for ages, so I thought I'd give it a little revival by giving it a new layout (which has actually been preset), and clean it up a little. Update to whoever reads this.

So here's a little update on the 5 of us.

Adelene is currently having her mid-year holidays back in Singapore. Lovin' the summer style, the mambo moves, expensive beer bellys and time with everyone and herself. Celebrating loads of birthdays and simply just bumming around. Although her cash is running short... and low on cash means short on entertainment. But that's another story altogether.

Gabriel just turned a lovely 19 with a small lunch at Crystal Jade in Jurong Point. With his final year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, gg's been packed with his work in his Mass Communication course and yes, I would like to think he's enjoying himself.

Kim, since graduating from Pioneer Junior College with an 'A' level cert, has been working at CitiBank from Mondays to Fridays and tutoring Wai Lreng's sister Biology on Sundays. Keeping herself busy with cash flowing in. Currently now on a holiday in Europe with her mum, I reckon she'd be enjoying herself big time. I do hope she comes back soon though 'cos I haven't gone shopping or to the beach with her yet. Time's not on our side.

Wai Lreng upon graduating from Pioneer Junior College along with Kim has enrolled in the army. He recently went on a lifeguard course for two weeks and ended up being as red as a lobster. He's now back in the stay in camp which sucks big time and well, he absolutely detests it too. But what to do? This is Singapore. Lets hope he gets to transfer into another department where he can come out everyday soon :p

Yufen, our very own business woman proves herself to be a goal driven once again. Packed to the brim in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Business course, this girl hardly gets any time for herself but still manages to squeeze time with friends into her packed and busy schedule. Oh, did I mention she got top for Spanish? Someone's gonna be reaaallyy successful in the future!

Its funny how we're all so different but one thing's for sure. The friendship will never end.

i`ll be surprised if anyone still reads this. i can`t seem to see our photo and no one seems free to update. we are all busy with our own works and left this place dangling, empty with no further posts from either three of us.

i was just simply wondering - it seems like ages since we graduated from fairfield ain`t it? and the sudden thought of it led me to think how fast time were passing us by. in no time, kim and wai would have graduated from pj, with kim moving on to further studies perhaps overseas and wai heading for ns while me and gg continue slogging in np. and then the next time we hear from each other would be like when? i have like no idea. it scares me sometimes.

it`s already early june. we`ve celebrated wai`s birthday and kim`s and adel`s are like here. i`m not sure is it just me or is everyone else feeling the same way too, that time is not on our side and is speeding off like a bullet train while we are all struggling to keep up? or we are just getting older way too fast?

the route was set. breakfast at mac's before gg's place (very very antisocial)-we looked at old photos, reminising the past, watching power rangers and taking photos. met yen mei and she passed me an utterly fantastic gift she made herself. barely a few hours later, yufen's place where we found a family of lians and where curry mutton was fantastic with two ang paos and a cute little baby. moving on to wai's place where the door was yellow, and the mahjong tiles were small. it was, in fact, where we found our new mahjong kahkis. after a few rounds, deciding to move on to ame's place where we were very noisy in a very quiet environment. oops! (: and then MORE MAHJONG! where ame and i kept winning and winning and winning. mummy koe sent us down back home where a lion dance troop "WELCOMED" us. kimmy chum's place with heaven and earth green tea and couple's fear factor (where i knew the whole story). and then MY PLACE FOR THE FINALE. yen mei joined us. dinner and then, MORE MAHJONG!

seance, im sorry for not spending much time with you guys recently. especially adel, know you did come back just to bum around at home. was kinda hurt by yufen's tag on the tag board initially. then i kinda thought about it and well, i agree with her. ive been going for my cip, doing my orientation, going out with ian and blah. that i havent had much time for you guys and such. but the fact is i DO WANT to meet up with you guys. know that. i enjoy your company so much. but my schelude is tight and it clashes a lot with the rest of seance's timings. and thus ended up with one outing. monday's was our second. monday was great.

oh my. it`s been such a long time since any one of us updated. so i shall, before this place becomes such a waste.

anyway. december is gonna be so soon. and adel will be coming back. she may be very reluctant to leave her heaven, but she misses her home. and no matter how undeniable that fact is, i`m still eagerly waiting and looking forward to her homecoming.

i`m excited but also scared. but it doesn`t mean i`m not prepared for change. right from the beginning when both of them(adel and ame of course) left, i`ve already made a point to myself that it`s bound to happen. but when it comes to facing up with the big fat reality. i realise it could be quite difficult.

looking back at the conflict back then we faced, i realised maybe i was still caught off guard. no matter how hard i tell myself that things would change, it still did catch me by surprise. and my natural instinct was to fight for the right things and cast out the wrong ones. but now, i realise that the world isn`t as i tot it was - just black and white or just right and wrong. it has so many grey portions and none of us can actually reach a level of just simply black and white.

maybe it all seem like a dream. for some, a nightmare that you want to wake up from. while for others, a sweet dream that you wish would never end.
